Description: A hand sorter is responsible for sorting and organizing various items like pallets and plastic liners. The individual in this role will be required to efficiently and accurately sort through a variety of materials, including but not limited to plastics, paper, and other recyclable materials. This individual will need to pay close attention to detail and be able to identify and separate different types of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sort through pallets and plastic liners

  • Identify and separate different types of materials

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Meet daily sorting and production goals

  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines

  • Communicate with supervisor and other team members as needed

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

  • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects

  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols

  • Experience in sorting and recycling materials is a plus

Physical Demands:

  • Standing for long periods of time

  • Lifting and moving heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)

  • Repetitive motions including grasping, reaching, and sorting materials
